Who we areThe PGEI is a not-for-profit organizing structure for a growing alliance of organizations and institutions seeking to make dramatic cuts in GHG's through the commercial success of renewable energy supply, clean energy and energy conservation technologies. We were formally established in 2007 in Vancouver, British Columbia. We have strong business oriented links throughout the Cascadia Region and with China. We operate under the auspices of the Cascadia Institute the operating name of the Cascadia Education Society: a non-profit policy research and public education body established in 1993.The Pacific Green Energy Initiative (PGEI) proposes that the Pacific Coast States and British Columbia are uniquely positioned to be the world's commercial demonstration centre for clean, renewable and energy conservation technologies. Our purpose is to accelerate the adoption of clean and renewable energy technologies in global markets, commencing with full scale commercial demonstrations in the Cascadia Region. Success is measured by how rapidly we can achieve commercialization. |
